Snow daze!

On Thursday evening, we went to bed hoping that it would snow...Bucky had consulted the internet and snow was promised, but we knew not to set our expectations too high since meteorologists are often incorrect. On the other hand, we had heard from the locals that snow was expected, so we were somewhat hopeful. Bucky and I woke up early on Friday morning and opened our shutters to find the backyard covered with snow! Yeh! Before the girls even woke up, Bucky headed out with camera in hand to take pictures of our village covered in snow! The girls were thrilled to find out that school had been cancelled…We spent the day enjoying the winter wonderland and coming inside to warm up! Electricity was touch and go due to falling limbs, but we managed with a roaring fire and lots of blankets. It continued to snow all day Friday and we expected the snow to be gone on Saturday…but not so! It was cold enough on Friday night for the snow to hang around. Today, we enjoyed a lazy day inside with just a couple of outings including a walk in the town and an attempt to build a snow fort. Bucky also worked on shoveling snow from the driveway and we kept our fire going…Who knows what tomorrow will bring, but we have thoroughly enjoyed a couple of snowy days in Provence! Enjoy the multiple pictures below – we had fun photographing our winter wonderland in Eygalieres!
