The Place

There is never a dull moment on Place Marcel Bonein...we've got fetes at the cafe, markets every Friday, the mayor on a daily basis, regular flooding and numerous characters traipsing through! This week we have major construction...We haven't quite figured out what they are doing this time around, but we think that they are (hopefully!) putting in some pipes to alleviate the flooding issues and repaving the entire Place. Of course, since we live on the Place, we are in the thick of things. The workers have dug big ditches right outside of our gates and it is dicey maneuvering in and out of our driveway. The guys who are doing the work have been extremely accomodating and pleasant and even posed for some pictures yesterday! It is exciting to be in the middle of the action, even though it is noisy, messy and extremely muddy today because of the rain. Oh well...C'est la vie a la Place Marcel Bonein!
