Not only is the Wall family vacating Place Marcel Bonein, but the chickens are as well. Even though they required constant attention, they were certainly fun to have and we more than enjoyed the eggs they produced. We will miss their contribution to the family (the eggs), but Bucky certainly won't miss getting up in the morning to let them out of their coop! They have found a new home chez our friends, the Dupres. The Dupres recently moved into the "country" outside of Eygalieres, where they built a beautiful home that they intend to inhabit for a long long time. They have lots of space and a beautiful view of the Alpilles and the chickens are quite content in their new abode. In fact, they started laying eggs there day one! The Dupres also inherited the petite maison, the play structure that Bucky and I built at the onset of our French adventure. The Dupres daughter, Doriane, has already adorned it with her dolls and riding gear and plans on spending ample time in her new oasis! So, with the poules (french for chickens) settled in their new home and the petite maison moved to its new location, the Walls continue their preparation for their new home. We are all moving on.
