As you have probably assessed if you have had the opportunity to read previous entries, we lead a very stressful life in France...marketing, eating, drinking, site-seeing, playing at parks, and the list goes on and on. So, on occasion, we take the time just to relax. Here are Kathleen (pre-haircut) and Bucky taking a time-out to relax. Classic!

Here we have Lucy and Kathleen on top of le Gros Caillou. The Gros Caillou is a big rock that is located near Place Bellevue in Croix-Rousse. There are two stories about the rock.... "one is a legend and the other is the scientific explanation. Legend has it that the stone is the heart of a legal bailiff which was turned to stone as a form of vengeance on the part of people who had been wronged by him. Geologists believe that the stone is a rock fragment left over from the Jurassic period which must have been left there during the last ice age." The stone was discovered in 1890 by workers who tunneled into a hill to make way for a railway. Now, it is a fascination for many and a nice place to enjoy the view.
